Reader’s Response to “The Secret Garden” Movies

Like other amazing children's stories, Frances Hodgson Burnett's The Secret Garden tells the story of truth and pleasure in childhood. This story not only tells about an event but also provides an overview of how life is. It is a work of beauty and witnessing it is like entering a closed world where one's destiny can be found. This story has been adapted into a film directed by Agnieszka Holland. In this film, Holland returns to make a film about a missing child and is a beautiful and intelligent film. This film is a film that I watched because of the Children Literature course assignment and it really impressed me.  The film begins with the narration of a little girl named Mary Lenox and her family who lives in India. The Fernandez family was very large. Graciela and Eugenio Fernandez had eight children: Pablito, Nellie, Carmen, William, Olgita, Freddie, Linda, and Baby Nancy. They were very poor. They had also two pets: Marialu, a large female cat, and Joncrofo, a small, skinny white hen with a red crest and a yellow beak. A Psychoanalysis: Freud’s Psychological in “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare

  Abstract In this study, the author will focus on examining how aspects of psychology are reflected in the personality of the main character. The purpose of this study is to analyze Hamlet William Shakespeare's drama, specifically the development of the personality of the main character based on the Psychoanalytic Perspective. This research focuses on the main character, namely Hamlet. The data collection method is a qualitative method. Data Collection Techniques are taking notes, whereas Data Analysis techniques in this study are descriptive analyzes. Based on the psychological analysis, it is clear that in the drama Hamlet Shakespeare describes psychological phenomena experienced by the main character, Hamlet.
