Sportsmanship, Humanity, and Respect

In every sports competition, athletes must have an attitude of sportsmanship: an attitude of fair play, an attitude of accepting victory/defeat, and of course an attitude of being willing to admit the strengths of their opponents or their own weaknesses. This sportsmanship attitude, in every sporting event, is the most valuable attitude to uphold humanity.

Humanity in this case is an attitude based on conscience not to act cheating your opponent and to still respect tolerance in every match. Athletes who have positive attitudes will certainly raise a high level of respect for others. The attitude of sportsmen with character and moral values that are contained in sports activities as a form of their professional responsibility.

Like what happened when the Tottenham Hotspur F.C. players patiently pass the ball alternately to a child with the assisted leg. This touched the human side and the conscience of the spectators at the stadium. In addition, there were also instances when two boxing athletes were wrestling and one of them almost lost consciousness, but the other boxer quickly helped the boxer who almost collapsed. In fact, he could have won the match, but he chose to help his opponent.

That is why sportsmanship and humanity are needed in shaping the mental attitude of sports athletes. This is an important instrument for the formation of the mental, value, and character of an athlete with great and human personality qualities.

More significant, however, was the way society  perceived  women in power as an exception to a collectively held view of women's "role" in society. Rather than saying that individual men oppressed women, most feminists saw that oppression of women came from the underlying bias o...
